Manfrotto Befree 3Way Live Head

The Manfrotto Befree 3Way Live Head is a dual purpose lightweight head that can be used for spotting scopes, video, or still cameras. It has built[in fluid drag for both tilting and panning, and can also be rotated between portrait and landscape orientations. The online reviews rate the 3WAY Live head as a jack of all trades but master of none. The fluid dampening is not adjustable and there is not a counterbalance device to keep out of balance cameras from tilting when not level or the Spotting scope or camera is not balanced. For this reason we recommend a long quick release plate in either Arca-Swiss dimensions or a Manfrotto 501PLONG. Both sizes are compatible. The Befree 3Way Live Head weighs 1.59 lbs. and has a working height of 6.1". Its handles can fold down for compactness when traveling.
